Text

(1)The adjutant general shall select and appoint an officer of the military forces as state judge advocate general. To be eligible for such appointment, an officer must be a member of the bar of the state of Colorado for at least five years and must meet the additional requirements for appointment to the state staff as set forth in section 28-3-302.
(2)The adjutant general may appoint as many assistant state judge advocates as he or she considers necessary. To be eligible for appointment, assistant state judge advocates must be officers of the state military forces and members in good standing of the bar of the state of Colorado.
(3)Convening authorities shall at all times communicate directly with their staff judge advocates in matters relating to the administration of milit
