§ 19-3-603 — Notice - abandonment
Before a termination of the parent-child
legal relationship based on abandonment can be ordered, the petitioner shall file,
only if the location of a parent remains unknown, an affidavit stating what efforts
have been made to locate the parent or parents of the child subject to the motion
for termination. Such affidavit shall be filed not later than ten days prior to the
hearing.
