Text
(1)Any person who
is required by section 19-3-304 to report known or suspected child abuse or neglect
who has reasonable cause to suspect that a child died as a result of child abuse or
neglect shall report such fact immediately to a local law enforcement agency and
to the appropriate medical examiner. The local law enforcement agency and the
medical examiner shall accept such report for investigation and shall report their
findings to the local law enforcement agency, the district attorney, and the county
department.
(2)The county department shall forward a copy of such report to the state
department of human services.
