Text
(1)Whenever it appears to a law
enforcement officer or any other person that a juvenile is or appears to be within
the court's jurisdiction, as provided in section 19-2.5-103, the law enforcement
officer or other person may refer the matter conferring or appearing to confer
jurisdiction to the district attorney, who shall determine whether the interests of
the juvenile or of the community require further action.
(2)Upon the district attorney's request, the matter may be referred to any
agency for an investigation and recommendation.
