Text
(1)Juvenile parole services are
administered by the division of youth services in the department of human services,
under the direction of the director of the division of youth services, appointed
pursuant to section 19-2.5-1501.
(2)The director of the division shall appoint juvenile parole officers and other
personnel of the division of youth services pursuant to section 13 of article XII of the
state constitution and with the consent of the department of human services.
Juvenile parole officers have the powers and duties specified in section 19-2.5-1204
and the powers of peace officers, as described in sections 16-2.5-101 and 16-2.5-138.
(3)The division of youth services may divide juvenile parole supervision into
regions throughout the state. Within each region there may be
