(1)Notwithstanding this article
1.2 to the contrary, a tribe, or Indian custodian who is not otherwise a party to a child
custody proceeding brought pursuant to this article 1.2, has the right to intervene at
any point in a child custody proceeding and a tribe may be represented by an
individual authorized by the tribe to act on its behalf, regardless of whether the
individual is licensed to practice law.
(2)In accordance with the Colorado rules of civil procedure, an attorney who
is not barred from practicing law in Colorado may appear on behalf of a tribe in any
child custody proceeding involving an Indian child without associating with local
counsel or without paying a fee to appear pro hac vice.
(3)Notwithstanding this article 1.2 to the contrary, pursuant to subsection (1
