(1)Unless explicitly
stated otherwise in this article 1.2, all provisions of this article 1.2 apply to all child
custody proceedings; any matter brought pursuant to the Uniform Dissolution of
Marriage Act, article 10 of title 14; the Colorado Probate Code, articles 10 to 17 of
title 15; all other private matters that meet the definition of a child custody
proceeding; and the Colorado Children's Code, this title 19.
(2)In a case filed pursuant to this article 1.2 that constitutes a child custody
proceeding, the court and each party to the proceeding shall also comply with the
federal implementing regulations of the federal Indian Child Welfare Act of 1978
that outline the minimum federal standards governing ICWA's implementation to
ensure that ICWA is applied in Colorado consist
