Text
(1)After a
judgment of conviction under section 18-12-103 or 18-12-104 has become final, any
defaced firearm upon which the judgment was based shall be deemed to be
contraband, the possession of which is contrary to the public peace, health, and
safety.
(2)Defaced firearms that are deemed to be contraband shall be placed in
the possession of the bureau or of a local law enforcement agency designated by
the bureau and shall be destroyed or rendered permanently inoperable.
