Text
(1)This part 11 shall
be applied and construed to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law
with respect to the subject of this part 11 among states enacting the Uniform
Statutory Rule Against Perpetuities Act. With respect to any matter relating to the
validity of an interest within the rule against perpetuities, unless a contrary intent
appears, it shall be presumed that the transferor of the interest intended that the
interest be valid.
(2)This part 11 supersedes and abolishes the rule of the common law known
as the rule against perpetuities for nonvested interests created after May 31, 1991.
