In carrying out its responsibility to
provide for judicial salaries pursuant to section 18 of article VI of the state
constitution, the general assembly hereby declares that the purpose of this article
is to set the amount of judicial compensation for justices of the supreme court,
judges of the court of appeals, judges of the district courts, judges of the county
courts, and judges of the probate and juvenile courts of the city and county of
Denver.
