Text
(1)(a) The court may assess a filing fee against a
petitioner seeking relief pursuant to this article 14; except that the court may not
assess a filing fee against a petitioner if the court determines the petitioner is
seeking the protection order as a victim of domestic violence, stalking, or sexual
violence. The court shall provide the necessary number of certified copies at no
cost to petitioners.
(b)The court shall neither award any costs nor assess any fees, including
attorney fees, against a petitioner seeking relief pursuant to this article 14, except
as provided in subsection (1)(a) of this section and section 13-17-102 (2), (4), and (6).
(2)A state or public agency shall not assess fees for service of process
against a petitioner seeking relief pursuant to this articl
