Text
(1)This article shall be known and may be
cited as the Colorado Securities Act.
(2)The purposes of this article are to protect investors and maintain public
confidence in securities markets while avoiding unreasonable burdens on
participants in capital markets. This article is remedial in nature and is to be broadly
construed to effectuate its purposes.
(3)The provisions of this article and rules made under this article shall be
coordinated with the federal acts and statutes to which references are made in this
article and rules and regulations promulgated under those federal acts and
statutes, to the extent coordination is consistent with both the purposes and the
provisions of this article.
