§ 2-3-504 — Duties of office
(1)The office shall:
(a)Upon the request of any member of the general assembly or the
governor, draft or aid in drafting legislative bills, resolutions, memorials,
amendments thereto, conference reports, and such other legislative documents
and papers as may be required in the legislative process;
(b)Prepare a digest of laws enacted by the general assembly, approved or
vetoed by the governor, immediately upon the adjournment of any regular or
special session;
(c)In the interim between sessions of the general assembly, prepare drafts
of proposed legislation for legislative interim committees appointed by the
legislative council or otherwise;
(d)Prepare, at the request of any legislative committee, summaries of
existing laws affected by proposed legislation, compilations of
