Text
The duty of providing
legal representation or otherwise rendering legal services to the state auditor in
connection with the auditor's performance of his or her functions and duties under
this part 1 is shared between the office of legislative legal services created in
section 2-3-501 and the attorney general. The attorney general is limited to
providing legal advice and representation to the auditor in connection with litigation
matters, issues related to financial or performance postaudits conducted by the
state auditor, and issues related to the administration of the fraud hotline created
in section 2-3-110.5.
