Text
The state auditor, with the approval of the committee,
may appoint one or more deputy state auditors, not to exceed three in number,
pursuant to section 2-3-104. In the case of the temporary absence or incapacity of
the state auditor, the committee may designate a deputy to exercise and perform
all or any portion of the powers and duties of the state auditor which are by law
exercised and performed by the state auditor, and, unless and until such
designation is made by the committee, the state auditor may so designate such
deputy.
