(a)The State Department of Health Care Services shall require counties to use funds distributed pursuant to subdivision (c) of Section 5891 for eligible adults and older adults, as defined in Section 5892, to develop a comprehensive array of services, as defined in Sections 5600.6 and 5600.7, and substance use disorder treatment services, as defined in Section
5891.5.
(b)A county may include services to address first episode psychosis.
(c)This section shall become operative on July 1, 2026, if amendments to the Mental Health Services Act are approved by the voters at the March 5, 2024, statewide primary election.
