(a)Each applicant for or recipient of aid shall be required as a condition of eligibility, to furnish the applicant’s social security account number (or numbers, if the applicant has more than one social security account number) or submit verification of application for a social security account number.
(b)
(1)If the applicant or recipient cannot complete the application for a social security account number because the necessary documentation is not immediately available, the county shall determine if good cause exists.
(2)For purposes of this section, “good cause” includes situations in which the necessary documentation for the application for a social security account number is not immediately available at the time of application.
