Text

Territory in the same county whether contiguous or not may be annexed to a highway lighting district. A petition for that purpose may be filed with the board of supervisors of the county in which the district is situated. The petition shall:
(a)
Designate the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed to the district.
(b)
Designate the number of owners of real property in such territory and the assessed value of the real property in the territory as shown by the last equalized assessment roll of the county.
(c)
State that the territory proposed to be annexed is not within the limits of any other lighting district, and request that such territory be annexed to the lighting district.
(d)
Be signed by the owners representing at least one-fourth of the total assessed valuation of the real property proposed to be annexed to the district, as shown by the last equalized assessment roll of the county, and by at least one-fourth of the total number of owners of real property in such territory.
