(a)
The returns of the election shall be made and the votes shall be canvassed by the county elections official in each county contained in the district, within thirty (30) days after holding of the election, and the county elections officials, respectively, shall certify the result of the election in each county, respectively, to the board of the district.
(b)
In the event that the election is consolidated with any other election, the returns of the election, the method
of canvassing, and the results thereof shall be designated and declared in accordance with Part 3 (commencing with Section 10400) of Division 10 of the Elections Code.
