The board shall by resolution or ordinance fix the boundaries of the wards for the purpose of electing directors therefrom. The board shall adjust the boundaries of the wards for the purpose of electing directors therefrom pursuant to Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 22000) of Division 21 of the Elections Code.
