Text

As promptly as practicable but not later than 30 days after receipt of an accident report as required in Article 1 (commencing with Section 24300), the department shall determine by an order entered of record (a)
the amount of security within the limits specified in Section 24350, which it deems sufficient to satisfy any judgment for damages resulting from the accident which may be recovered against each owner or operator, and (b)
the name and address of each claimant.
