Text

It is the intent of the Legislature to improve existing public transportation coordination. The Legislature recognizes that in order to achieve a unified, coordinated public transportation system within the San Diego region, it may be necessary to form a regionwide transit district at some future time. It is the intent of the Legislature that the North County Transit District shall reserve the right to join and merge with such a regionwide district at such time as it is deemed mutually beneficial by the board and the region as a whole.
