The standards board shall adopt one or more standards requiring each employer which uses any carcinogen, including asbestos and vinyl chloride, to submit a written report regarding the use or any incident which results in the release of a potentially hazardous amount of a carcinogen into any area where employees may be exposed. The reporting requirements set forth in Sections 5209 and 5210 of Title 8 of the California Administrative Code on January 1, 1986, shall remain in effect until amended or repealed by the standards board, and any subsequent reporting requirements shall provide for reports which are at least as detailed as those required on that date.
