As used in this chapter:
(a)“Director” means the Director of Industrial Relations or the director’s designee.
(b)“Department” means the Department of Industrial Relations.
(c)“Minor” means any person under the age of 18 years who is required to attend school under Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 48200) and Chapter 3 (commencing with Section 48400) of Part 27 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Education Code and any person under the age of six years. A person under the age of 18 years who is not required to attend school under Chapter 2 (commencing with Section 48200) and Chapter 3
(commencing with Section 48400) of Part 27 of Division 4 of Title 2 of the Education Code solely because that person is a nonresident of California shall still be considered a minor.
