Text
Before an application for a license is granted, the applicant shall meet all of the following requirements:
(a)Be at least 18 years of age.
(b)Shall not have committed acts or crimes constituting grounds for denial of licensure under Section 1668 or 1669.
(c)Shall have at least two years’ experience in the handling of loss claims under insurance contracts as determined by regulations adopted by the commissioner, and be competent to transact business and discharge the responsibilities of a public insurance adjuster in a manner as to safeguard the interests of the public. A person who has been licensed as an apprentice
public insurance adjuster, as set forth in Section 15016, for 12 full months, shall be considered to have met the two-year experience requirement.
