(a)
(1)The Department of Insurance shall conduct a study of the property, liability, and builders’ risk insurance coverages available to affordable housing entities as defined in Section 13907 and receiving a grant, loan, or tax credit awarded by the Department of Housing and Community Development or the California Tax Credit Allocation Committee intended to serve lower income households, as defined in Section 50079.5 of the Health and Safety Code.
(2)The department shall conduct this study in consultation with the affordable housing entities described in paragraph (1), admitted insurers, providers of nonprofit insurance services, risk-sharing pools for public housing authorities and nongovernmental owners of affordable housing properties, insurance captives, risk retention group
