(a)The examination requirements of Article 7 (commencing with Section 1675) of Chapter 5 of Part 2 of Division 1 shall not apply to a license to represent a fraternal benefit society if the individual insurance licensee of a society meets either of the following conditions:
(1)Was in the service of a society on March 1, 1945, and licensed to represent a fraternal benefit society on January 1, 1952, and continuously thereafter.
(2)Does not devote substantially full time to the sale of life insurance, accident and health or sickness insurance, or both, as provided in Section 1622, and is an individual part-time fraternal licensee, whether that insurance is provided by insurance policies or by fraternal benefit policies or certificates.
