Text

Notwithstanding any other provision of law, and to the extent federal financial participation is available, any city, county or special district providing paramedic services as set forth in Section 1797.172, shall reimburse the Health Care Deposit Fund for the state costs of paying such medical claims. Funds allocated to the county from the County Health Services Fund pursuant to Part 4.5 (commencing with Section 16700) of Division 9 of the Welfare and Institutions Code may be utilized by the county or city to make such reimbursement.
