Text

Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine of not less than fifty dollars ($50) or more than one thousand dollars ($1,000), or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding six months, or by both fine and imprisonment. If the violation is committed with intent to defraud or mislead, or after a conviction of the person under this section has become final, the person shall be subject to imprisonment for not more than one year in the county jail, or a fine of not more than two thousand dollars ($2,000), or both the imprisonment and fine.
