§ 9936. — 9936. (Added June 5, 1984, by initiative Proposition 24.)

Reports to public on expenditures made from contingent funds; contents
(a)
For the periods beginning December 1, March 1, June 1, and September 1 of each year, the Assembly Committee on Rules, Senate Committee on Rules, and the Joint Rules Committee shall quarterly issue a report to the public on the expenditures made from the contingent fund subject to their direction and control. The report shall include, but need not be limited to, a listing of total expenditures for each Member and committee of the Legislature in the following categories:
(1)
Out-of-state travel and living expense reimbursement and in-state travel and living expense reimbursement.
(2)
Automotive expenses.
(3)
Rent
(4)
Telephone.
(5)
Postage.
(6)
Printing.
(7)
Office supplies.
(8)
Newsletters.
(9)
Per diem for attendance at legislative sessions.
(10)
Staff salaries and expenses.
(11)
Contracts entered into with any other party.
(b)
Each report shall be completed, published, and made available to the public within 30 calendar days following the completion of the reporting period.
(c)
For the period ending on November 30 of each year, the Assembly Committee on Rules, Senate Committee on rules, and the Joint Rules Committee shall annually issue a report to the public on the expenditures made from the contingent fund subject to their direction and control. The report shall include, but need not be limited to, a listing of total expenditures for each Member and committee of the Legislature in the categories described in subdivision (a). Each report shall be completed, published, and made available to the public within 90 calendar days following the completion of the reporting period.
