The boundaries of Sutter County are as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of Sacramento County, said northwest corner being at the intersection of the center line of the channel of the Sacramento River with the line dividing Section 12, Township 10 North, Range 3 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian into north and south halves; running thence upstream along said center line of the channel of Sacramento River, following the meanderings thereof as said channel was established by official government meander line surveys prior to 1870, of record in the Office of the United States Surveyor General for the State of California, to the intersection of said center line of the channel of Sacramento River with the center line of the channel of Butte Slough; thence northeasterly along said cen
