Text

Every state safety member shall be retired on the first day of the calendar month succeeding that in which he or she attains age 65. Every member who has attained age 65 when he or she becomes a state safety member shall be retired on the first day of the following month. This section shall not apply to members represented by State Bargaining Unit 16 or State Bargaining Unit 19.
