(a)There is in state government, within the Office of Emergency Services, the Public Safety Communications Division.
(b)The Public Safety Communications Division is under the supervision of a chief.
(c)The purpose of this chapter is to transfer the services and responsibilities previously held by the Public Safety Communications Division within the California Technology Agency to the Office of Emergency Services.
(d)Unless the context clearly requires otherwise, the Office of Emergency Services and the Director of the Office of Emergency Services succeed to and are
vested with all the duties, powers, purposes, responsibilities, and jurisdiction vested in the former Public Safety Communications Division within the California Technology Agency.
