§ 12627. — 12627. (Amended by Stats. 2011, Ch. 296, Sec. 121.)

The Attorney General shall adopt regulations pursuant to the portion of the Administrative Procedure Act (Chapter 3.5 (commencing with Section 11340) of Part 1 of Division 3 of Title 2) pertaining to rulemaking, as follows:
(a)
Regulations on the standards and requirements that organizations must meet that are consistent with the regulations adopted by the USIA pursuant to the Mutual Educational and Cultural Exchange Act of 1961 (22 U.S.C. Sec. 2451) as set forth in Section 514.1 and following of Title 22 of the Code of Federal Regulations as those regulations existed on March 19, 1993. If the federal regulations adopted by the USIA at a minimum require the same standards and requirements of this article,
the Attorney General shall permit organizations designated by the USIA pursuant to those regulations to, in lieu of documentation that would otherwise be required by this article and the regulations adopted pursuant to this subdivision, provide evidence of designation by the USIA.
(b)
Any regulations that are necessary for the administration of this article.
