This chapter does not apply to grapes which are marketed by or through a nonprofit cooperative marketing association unless the board of directors of the association elects to have the soluble solid determination of the grapes of its members determined as provided in this chapter and notifies the agricultural commissioner of each county in which the association operates any winery of such election.
