§ 2272. — 2272. (Added by Stats. 2021, Ch. 314, Sec. 12.)

(a)The department shall designate an employee, known as the department’s National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) coordinator, who shall be responsible for the department’s compliance with the requirements of this chapter and the requirements of Section 20504 of Title 52 of the United States Code. The responsibilities of the department’s NVRA coordinator include, but are not limited to, all of the following:
(1)Ensuring the accurate processing and timely transmission of voter registration applications submitted to the department.
(2)Ensuring employees are trained pursuant to Section 2273.
(3)Coordinating with the Secretary of State’s NVRA coordinator to ensure the department’s compliance with this chapter and with Section 20504 of Title 52 of the United States Code.
