(a)
The Trustees of the California State University shall not, and the Regents of the University of California are requested not to, allocate any student-imposed athletics fees that are collected from registered students for purposes of supporting intercollegiate athletics programs for any purpose that is not in amounts that are not approved pursuant to the election approving the fees.
(b)
At the end of each academic year, the Trustees of the California State University shall, and the Regents of the University of California are requested to, refund to each feepaying student a pro rata share of any portion of the student-imposed athletics fee that is collected and is not allocated for the approved purposes during that
academic year.
