§ 17110. — 17110. (Added by Stats. 1996, Ch. 277, Sec. 2.)

The governing board of a school district may issue for sale revenue bonds to finance the construction of joint occupancy facilities as prescribed in Article 8 (commencing with Section 17515) of Chapter 4 of Part 10.5, which facilities are necessary to relieve overcrowded schools. Proceeds from the rental and lease of the facilities shall be used by the governing board to repay the revenue bonds. As used in this chapter:

(a)“To finance the construction of joint occupancy facilities” means to offset either the cost of constructing the joint occupancy facilities or the cost of financing the construction of joint occupancy facilities, or both.
(b)“Joint occupancy facilities” means any building constructed pursuant to this chapter which is occupied jointly by a school district and a private
