(a)The corporation’s existence as a small business financial development corporation begins upon the filing of the articles with the Secretary of State and continues perpetually, unless otherwise expressly provided for by law.
(b)If a corporation is terminated from participation in all programs, in order to continue its existence as a nonprofit corporation pursuant to the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law (Part 2 (commencing with Section 5110) of Division 2 of Title 1 of the Corporations Code), the corporation shall amend its articles of incorporation in accordance with Chapter 8 (commencing with Section 5180) of Part 2 of Division 2 of Title 1 to remove the provisions required by Section 14005, including an amendment to remove the words “small business financial development
