§ 30912. — 30912. (Amended by Stats. 2005, Ch. 71, Sec. 5.)

(a)
Revenue derived from tolls on all bridges may be expended, subject to the adopted annual budget of the authority, for any of the following purposes:
(1)
Safety and operational costs, including toll collection and maintenance costs in accordance with Section 188.4.
(2)
Costs of bridge construction and improvement projects, including seismic retrofit and replacement projects, and including debt service and sinking
fund payments on bonds issued by the authority for those projects. The repayment of any advances from other state funds may be made from the toll revenue or bond proceeds.
(b)
The revenue determined by the authority as derived from the toll increase approved in 1988, and authorized by Section 30917 for class I vehicles on the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge shall be used, to the extent specified in paragraph (4) of subdivision (a) of Section 30914, for the construction of rail extensions specified in Section 30914 or for payment of the principal of, and interest on, bonds issued for those projects, including payments into a sinking fund maintained for that purpose.
