§ 48-2227 — Incorporated area in the district; withdrawal
A.The district may be established or the boundaries changed pursuant to section 48-262 to include incorporated cities or towns as well as unincorporated areas.
B.Notwithstanding section 48-262, the governing body of an incorporated city or town that desires to withdraw from the district shall notify the board of directors and publish a notice once each week for three consecutive weeks in a newspaper of general circulation in the district. The municipal governing body shall hold at least one hearing on the issue of withdrawing from the district and shall receive all written and oral comments presented at the hearing. The municipal governing body shall vote on the issue at the conclusion of the hearing, and if the vote is to withdraw from the district, the withdrawal is effective ninety d
