Text

A.The director shall establish reduction in force procedures to be used by all state agencies if reductions are required in covered service by reason of lack of monies or work, abolition of a position, a material change in duty or organization or the introduction of other cost reduction initiatives.
B.The procedures shall use the person's performance record as the sole basis for determining retention. Consideration of the person's performance is limited to performance, as measured by up to the three most recent performance evaluations conducted using a performance measurement system approved by the director, during a period of not more than the two years immediately preceding the reduction in force.
