§ 41-6035 — Proclamation of result of referendum and election; terms of supervisors

A.If not less than sixty-five percent of the landowners voting at the referendum and the owners of not less than fifty percent of the land, other than publicly owned, lying within the proposed district vote in favor of the creation thereof, the board shall declare the district organized. Otherwise the board shall declare the proposal defeated.
B.The three candidates receiving the highest number of votes at the election for supervisors shall be declared elected. Their terms shall begin on the date of filing the oath of office with the secretary of state. The term of the candidate receiving the largest number of votes shall terminate on May 31 of the third even-numbered year, of the candidate receiving the next largest number of votes on May 31 of the second even-numbered year, and of the
