A.Subject to title 41, chapter 4, article 4 and section 32-3253, the executive director of the board of behavioral health examiners shall serve as the executive director of the board of massage therapy. The executive director may not be a member of the board of massage therapy and may not have any financial interests in the practice of massage therapy or the training of massage therapists. The board of massage therapy may authorize the executive director to represent the board of massage therapy and to vote on behalf of the board of massage therapy at meetings of national organizations of which the board of massage therapy is a dues-paying member.
B.The executive director and other board staff are eligible to receive compensation as determined pursuant to section 38-611.
