A.Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, after an investigation, the department shall issue a security guard registration certificate, armed security guard registration certificate, security guard training instructor registration certificate or firearms safety training instructor registration certificate under this chapter to any applicant who satisfactorily complies with this chapter. Each security guard, security guard training instructor or firearms safety training instructor registration certificate shall contain the name and address of the registrant and the number of the registration certificate and, except as otherwise provided in this subsection, shall be issued for four years.
