A.The real estate advisory board is established composed of ten members who are appointed by the governor. The term of office of each member is six years, and the terms of three members expire on January 31 of each odd-numbered year. Appointment to fill a vacancy occurring other than by expiration of term shall be filled by appointment for the unexpired portion of the term only.
B.The membership of the board shall consist of:
1.Two members, each of whom is a real estate broker or real estate salesperson with at least five years of residential brokerage experience in this state. Not more than one member shall be appointed from any one county.
2.One member who has been engaged in a commercial real estate brokerage for the five years immediately preceding appointment.
