Text

The department may issue a temporary embalmer or funeral director license to a person who is not licensed in this state in cases of emergency or public disaster or for educational purposes if the person holds an active license in good standing issued by the funeral services licensing authority of another jurisdiction. The department shall issue a license under this section only for the category of licensure for which the person holds an active license issued by another jurisdiction. A temporary license issued under this section is valid for thirty days. The department may renew a temporary license once for a period of thirty or fewer days.
