A. The department may: 1. Accept grants or other contributions from the federal government or other sources, public or private, to be used by the department to carry out any of the purposes of this chapter. 2. Do all things necessary, within the limitations of this chapter, to carry out the powers and duties of the department. 3. Conduct an information program, including:

(a)Providing information on the control and regulation of sources of radiation and related health and safety matters, on request, to members of the legislature, the executive offices, state departments and agencies and county and municipal governments.
