Text
A.A person with a driver license or nonoperating identification license issued by the department may request that the department note in the department’s customer record that the person may need a communication accommodation.
B.The owner of a vehicle registered in this state may request that the department note in the department’s vehicle record that there may be an occupant of the vehicle that may need a communication accommodation.
C.The request shall be made in a method determined by the department.
D.The department shall establish procedures to make the notations available only to law enforcement agencies.
E.For the purposes of this section:
1."Communication accommodation" means that a person has a disability that can impair communication and the person may require an accomm
