Text
A.Except as otherwise provided in this subsection, the department shall issue collegiate special plates that identify each university that is described in section 15-1601 or each community college district. The collegiate special plates shall have the same color and design as the collegiate license plates issued on or before December 31, 1992, except that on the request of a university as described in section 15-1601 or a community college district, the department may revise the color and design of the plates as appropriate for the university or community college district. Beginning from and after September 14, 2024, the department may issue collegiate special plates for a community college district only if a person pays $32,000 to the department for the implementation of a collegiate spe
